In the 19th Century, only Ireland sent a larger percentage of its population to the New World than did Norway. The hardships endured by the hearty and brave Norsks when they came to our part of the New World have left us a legacy of art, music, crafts, dance, education and endurance which we in these parts treasure regardless of our national origin.
We are proud to announce that the Lake Vermilion Cultural Center’s Midsummer Celebration will feature NORWAY on June 20, 2020 at the Tower Civic Center.
