The 2024 event of Midsummer will sparkle with indelible memories of a dozen years of themed dinners and performances. They began in the original location of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church tucked in a neighborhood just off Tower’s Main Street and developed into the Lake Vermillion Culture Center now a highly regarded presence located in full view as you enter the town from the west and cross the bridge.
In the dozen years of performances, dinners, and the church’s relocation and refurbishing, the shows have highlighted
countries from France to Finland, the music of Broadway to the Minnesota State Fair, and an Americana pastiche of tunes from “Home on the Range” to “I Le My Heart In San Francisco.” Singers gather from this area to blend with those from the Twin Cities to form a chorus each year performing music from Italian opera to Norwegian folk songs. e narrated shows describe the heritage of the location being highlighted along with staging and oen costumed performers to offer visual harmony.
The 2024 Midsummer will feature each year’s theme with a song from the show and a line or two from the performance narrative. Please join us for this trip down memory lane as St. Mary’s Hall will resonate again with
another showstopper. We can’t wait to see you!
